Hello there.
Gwaltney Gardens was founded with the goal of infusing native plant selections into otherwise ornamental landscapes. The unique ecology of a site can be optimized with a more conscious understanding of how individual plants interact with one another and the local climate.
Founder.
I am Robert Warrington Dvorak, founder of Gwaltney Gardens. I have spent 15 years in Richmond, Virginia building relationships and shaping a vision for Virginia’s future. My B.S. in Urban Planning and a Masters of Natural Resources offer me insight into how landscape management impacts a scale larger than single residential properties. I am a member of the Virginia Nursery and Landscape Association and a certified Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional.
When not crawling around my own perennial cottage garden in Northern Barton Heights, I can be found skipping along trails at Texas Beach or volunteering with Virginia Pride.
